Drop In Programs
Our high school programs are free for all HLPUSD and PUSD students in grades 9-12. We are passionate about serving every student who needs support, and are especially committed to partnering with first-generation students and students from low-income households. Read on to learn about our after school drop in program at HLPUSD and PUSD; and daytime programs for CIS Academy, Rose City, and Focus Point.
Drop in Program
High School
Students, you can pop into our afterschool drop-in centers whenever you have a question, want to talk about college or careers, or just need a space to work on resumes, college and financial aid applications, and more. Stay for 15 minutes or 2 hours – it’s up to you!
During drop in, CAP’s advisors can help you:
- Find the right colleges for you
- Write great college essays
- Complete a resume
- Submit strong applications
- Finish the FAFSA or Dream Act
- Evaluate financial aid offers
- Find and apply for scholarships
- Explore careers and majors

DAYTIME
CIS and Rose City Students: CAP offers one-on-one support during the school day, directly on your campus! During these sessions, CAP’s advisors can help you:
- Explore your options for life after high school
- Explore careers and majors
- Develop a strong resume
- Submit college applications
- Apply for financial aid
- Find and apply for scholarships
CIS and Rose City students: CAP services begin September 6. You can set up an appointment through your high school counselor. CIS students may schedule an appointment with your CAP advisor directly.
